In Tuesday’s Podcast, Bill Nye and Chuck Nice Field Cosmic Queries Live from Sirius XM

In this week’s previously recorded episode of StarTalk All-Stars, Bill Nye and Chuck Nice are live in the Sirius XM studio answering calls and questions as they field fan-submitted Cosmic Queries on a variety of subjects. Bill and Chuck also discuss Bill’s new documentary, Bill Nye: Science Guy.

Before the Cosmic Queries, you’ll hear about Bill’s new documentary and how Bill transitioned from iconic science educator to climate change advocate. The synopsis for the new documentary is below:

“Bill Nye is a man on a mission: to stop the spread of anti-scientific thinking across the world. The former star of the popular kids show “Bill Nye The Science Guy” is now the CEO of The Planetary Society, an organization founded by Bill’s mentor Carl Sagan, where he’s launching a solar propelled spacecraft into the cosmos and advocating for the importance of science, research, and discovery in public life.  With intimate and exclusive access —as well as plenty of wonder and whimsy — this behind-the-scenes portrait of Nye follows him as he takes off his Science Guy lab coat and takes on those who deny climate change, evolution, and a science-based world view. The film features Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ann Druyan, and many others.”

It wouldn’t be an episode of StarTalk unless Bill Nye dropped some knowledge on climate change. You’ll learn how we measure greenhouse gases by sampling ice, what everyday people can do to combat climate change, and why the “slow motion” of climate change allows some people to brush it off as a non-issue.

You’ll also hear about GMOs, volcanism, the promise of solar sail technology, and much more. Lastly, if you’d like to see the trailer for Bill Nye: Science Guy you can watch it right here.

Please join us tomorrow night for StarTalk All-Stars: Bill Nye Live, at 7pm ET right here on our website, as well as on our All-Stars channels on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, SoundCloud, Stitcher, and TuneIn.
