Travel Back in Time for Tomorrow’s New Episode with Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live
Some of our shows take longer to make it online than others. Back in August of 2012, we sat down in the studio with a young man named Colin Jost, a stand-up comedian who was a writer for Saturday Night Live. We recorded two shows, Cosmic Queries: Telescopes and Cosmic Queries: Time Travel.
Tonight is a big night for Colin. He takes over from Seth Meyers as co-anchor of SNL’s Weekend Update, sitting in the anchor chair created by Chevy Chase that’s warmed the butts of stellar comics including Jane Curtin, Dennis Miller, Kevin Nealon, Norm MacDonald, Colin Quinn, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers.
If we could travel forward in time, we would surely be able to report on an illustrious career for Colin Jost, but unfortunately, as you’ll find out in this Sunday’s episode of StarTalk Radio, we have pretty strong reason to believe time travel hasn’t been invented yet.
However, we can go back in time, via the “Behind the Scenes” videos we shot that day in our studio in glorious, frustrating “shakycam.” So, without further ado, (drumroll please), I give you 4 videos of astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and comic co-host Colin Jost that you can watch now, but which you won’t be able to hear until Sunday night at 7 pm ET on our website, iTunes, SoundCloud and Stitcher.
That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
