This Sunday, Astro Mike is back for his 10th episode… oh, and we’ve got Chris Hadfield too.

This Sunday’s podcast is a milestone, and not because we’ve finally got one of our most-requested guests onboard, former Canadian astronaut and ISS Commander Chris Hadfield.

No, Sunday marks the tenth guest appearance for Mike Massimino on an episode of StarTalk or on stage at StarTalk Live! Which explains why Neil, Eugene and Mike seem so comfortable with each other in the studio portions of this week’s episode, Social Media in Space with Chris Hadfield.

Now, as virtually everybody reading this knows, Chris Hadfield is perhaps most famous as the astronaut who sang a version of David Bowie’s Space Oddity while floating high above the wold in a tin can, AKA the International Space Station. The video has racked up over 25 million views.

But long before Chris sang Bowie, “Astro Mike” Massimino brought the space age into the social media age by becoming the first person to tweet from space.

On Sunday’s podcast, these two social media savvy astronauts each share their very different journeys to space. Chris took the test pilot route, while Mike took the academic route. Both flew on two space shuttle missions as Mission Specialists. Chris helped build the Soviet space station Mir on one, and installed the Canada Arm on the ISS on the other, while Mike’s missions were both to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.

And of course, Chris served aboard the International Space Station on Expedition 34, and then as commander of Expedition 35.

Needless to say, they’ve both got some great stories to tell.

And you can hear them this Sunday, June 7 at 7:00 PM ET on our website, iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud and TuneIn.

By the way, if you’re checking our math and you only come up with nine guest appearances for Astro Mike, that’s because one of those, episodes, StarTalk Live! at Town Hall with Brian Greene, was recorded at the event but has yet to be produced. So you’ve still got that to look forward to.

That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
